The Post War Buick seen changes in that the cars where lower, wider, and longer along with integrated ‘proud’ fenders and the identifiable Toothy Grill. Powered by Buicks iconic Fireball 8, the ‘Valve In Head’ inline 8 cylinder a 320 cubic inch work horse, matched to the original three speed standard column shift, the ultimate Classic driving experience.The Road Master is the top of line Model for Buick in 1947, this Formal example is a 129 inch wheel base, explains that ultra comfortable ride received from this Buick. The last proud caretaker of this Buick owned the car for over 40 years and he purchased from the Second ever owner of this Roadmaster. The car was purchased over 40 years ago as an all original example. In the early 2000’s it was decided to embark on an exterior refinish of what was an outstanding corrosion free laser straight example.
The amount of time and detail that went into this exterior Refinish would have been staggering. The end result is a laser straight mirror like finish, truly concours quality refinish. All new weather strip and rubbers replaced at this time. All chrome and stainless was re-plated and or buffed and polished to a high quality shine. The exterior could pass for having been refinished in the last year- It shows this well An excellent original Interior throughout, including original seat upholstery found in excellent condition., all long with original door panels and head liner. The floor mats replaced with Lebaron Bonney custom made matching carpets, the only interior change made from original. All chrome shows excellent, all interior window garnish moldings are chrome and excellent, dash chrome and trim excellent, door and window cranks, original and excellent. The interior in this example is as impressive as the exterior.
The Engine and Engine bay detail is excellent. Proper colours and decals throughout, all inner fenders and front clip frame cleaned and recoated properly at time of refinish. Stunning presentation of a proper FireBall Eight. A show stopper under Buicks unique ‘Side opening Hood’
