This incredibly original time capsule was uniquely Special Ordered by a Butler Pennsylvania resident who knew exactly what he wanted. Original order sheet, from Wicks Implements in Butler Pa. was completed on March 7 1977. Mr McGowan placed his order for a 1977 Scout II Traveltop (steel removable top) ordering a 4×2 fitted with a 4 cyl 196 cid Comanche engine with a 3 speed manual trans and trac-loc rearend. Ordered in one of the best two tone color combos Terra Cotta exterior with a Winter White removable steel top. The order placed included deluxe exterior with chrome grill and chrome bumpers front and rear as well as upgraded trim moldings. The interior was also ordered as the upgraded deluxe finished in Tanbark Vinyl/cloth combo, full instrument gauge package , padded dash , wood grain trimmed dash, vinyl trimmed door panels, high grade rubber mats front and rear cargo mat. Interior mounted spare tire with cover. AM radio and antenna.

Documents show that the truck was ordered on March 7 1977, completed build on May 16 1977 and delivered to the owner on June 8 1977.

The truck and early Sport Utilities have proven to be very popular in the last 5 + years and this includes some of Americas first SUV’s like the original International Scouts. The International light truck line today is very desirable given its limit production times and its low productions numbers. That and shear attrition as these vehicle where designed and meant for work. And most did that eventually being put to pasture. To find one in any form of untouched condition is a rarity , but to find one in still Brand New showroom level condition is nearly unheard of and with only 4,329 all original miles.

From the high shine original Terra Cotta finish to the looks to be never sat in interior. The cloth seats are as new and as firm as they would have been in 1977, front rubber floor mats show absolutely no wear as does gas, brake and clutch pedal, dash and instruments are perfect along with steering wheel. Open the rear cargo glass  to access the tail gate to expose perfect original painted tailgate, (truly remarkable) and the 100% un-marred rear cargo are including mat and body painted wheel hoses are perfect, high shine and scratch free. Headliner on steel roof is perfect, all door rubbers intact and still supple. Engine  and engine bay are original still retaining factory red paint throughout, all components air breather etc are as new.

This is truly a time capsule a new meaning to “survivor”

Take advantage of this true collectors blue chip level investment grade vehicle.
